- Remove the clutch cover.
- Remove any dust, dirt, debris in clutch box exhaust ports.
- Clean the clutch sheaves.
- Install new belt as recommended by the OEM. Do not pry on new belt.
- Break-in: perform a heat cycle with clutch cover installed.
- Remove rubber and wear with mild abrasive on pulley/belt contact.
- Use alcohol or acetone to remove particulates, avoid clutches and brake cleaner.
- Ensure impurities removed to prevent belt slippage and performance drop.
- Break in, cool-down.
- Clean clutch, avoid belt wear.
- Adjust driving style, no violent acceleration on resistant ground.
- Check clutch alignment, use alignment tool if needed.
- Regularly check CVT vent blockage.
