Open More Airflow Without Removing the RZR Windshield

Weather can change faster than a fixed front panel can adapt. Three opening positions, reinforced clamps, a thick clear sheet, and vibration pads support larger airflow changes while keeping the windshield mounted.

Challenge

A fixed full windshield can feel too enclosed in hot weather

How It Helps

The flip mechanism moves the panel to fully open or half-open positions for greater front airflow.

Why It Matters

Heat relief does not require panel removal

Riders can create a larger opening during warm sections of the route.

Heat relief does not require panel removal

Challenge

Sudden rain or cold wind can make an open front uncomfortable

How It Helps

The same panel lowers to a fully closed position when forward coverage is needed.

Why It Matters

Weather changes require fewer stops

The windshield can move from ventilation to protection without changing accessories.

The same panel lowers to a fully closed position when forward coverage is needed.

Challenge

Rough trails can make weak clamps loosen or shift

How It Helps

Reinforced metal pipe clamps and lower rubber pads support the windshield against vibration.

Why It Matters

The panel feels more controlled over bumps

Stable mounting reduces distraction when terrain becomes uneven.

Challenge

Scratches on both faces can reduce forward clarity

How It Helps

Hard coating is applied to the interior and exterior surfaces of the clear polycarbonate.

Why It Matters

The main viewing area receives two-sided protection

Better resistance to light wear supports clearer navigation through repeated use.

Challenge

A thick windshield can still feel visually heavy

How It Helps

The clear panel is rated at 95% light transmission.

Why It Matters

Forward terrain remains easy to read

High transparency helps the driver judge ruts, turns, and obstacles through the closed panel.

Best Uses for the Clear Flip Windshield

Hot Desert or Open-Trail Sections

Hot Desert or Open-Trail Sections

The fully open position creates broad front airflow when cabin heat matters more than coverage.

Intermittent Wind and Light Rain

Intermittent Wind and Light Rain

The closed position restores a front barrier when conditions change during the ride.

Cool Starts Followed by Warm Afternoons

Cool Starts Followed by Warm Afternoons

Half-open adjustment supports a middle level of airflow without taking the windshield off the vehicle.

Set the Pipe Clamps with Enough Roof Clearance

Check the roof and roll-cage area before mounting. The reinforced clamps need adequate space for the windshield to travel through all three positions.

Step 1

Confirm the 2019–2023 RZR XP fitment.

Step 2

Check roof clearance and available clamp space.

Step 3

Attach the reinforced pipe clamps to the cage.

Step 4

Seat the lower rubber pads against the contact area.

Step 5

Move the windshield through open, half-open, and closed positions.

RZR XP Flip Windshield Positions, Fit, and Care

What are the three windshield positions?

The panel can be fully open, half open, or fully closed to change front airflow and coverage.

Can the windshield be left half open at any speed?

No. Use the open or half-open positions only when terrain, speed, and weather allow stable operation.

Which RZR XP models fit the flip windshield?

Compatibility covers 2019–2023 RZR XP 1000, RZR XP 4 1000, and RZR XP Turbo models.

Will the system work with every roof?

The design suits many hard and soft roofs, but clamp space and movement clearance must be checked on the installed roof.

What helps control vibration on rough ground?

Reinforced pipe clamps hold the upper mounting area, while rubber pads support the lower contact point.
