One-Hand Airflow Control for CFMOTO ZFORCE
Raise the windshield for added ventilation, then close it when you need more protection from wind, dust, rain, and trail debris.
A Half Windshield Cannot Close When Conditions Change
Wind, rain, and flying debris can appear during a ride, leaving a fixed half windshield unable to restore fuller front coverage.
Close It for a More Protective Front Barrier
Closing the panel helps reduce direct exposure to chilly wind, rain, and trail debris. It provides practical coverage but does not make the cab completely waterproof or weather-sealed.
Branches and Cleaning Can Leave Surface Marks
Light brush contact, trail dust, and improper cleaning can gradually affect windshield clarity during off-road use.
Dual-Layer Protection Against Minor Scratches
The dual-layer hardened coating helps resist minor scratches and preserve a clearer view. With proper care, the coating may remain in good condition for approximately one to three years, but actual longevity depends on use, cleaning, storage, and surface contact.
Strong Sunlight Can Increase UV Exposure and Glare
Long hours in direct sunlight can increase passenger exposure and make the cab less comfortable.
Lab-Tested Zero UV Transmission
The windshield is lab-tested to block 100% of UV transmission under the stated test conditions. This helps reduce UV exposure and glare, although results depend on the integrity, condition, and correct use of the panel.
Thin Windshields Can Raise Impact Concerns
Branches, loose debris, and rough trails can subject a front windshield to repeated contact and vibration.
5mm Polycarbonate with High Impact Resistance
The 5mm polycarbonate is described as 250 times stronger than glass and provides strong impact resistance.
Bumpy Trails Can Loosen or Rattle Poorly Fitted Panels
Repeated vibration can affect windshield stability when the mounting points and protective pads are not aligned correctly.
Rubber Pads Cushion Trail Vibration
Anti-vibration rubber pads help absorb shocks and support a more secure fit. One customer found the upper mounts less rigid and more difficult to locate, so careful positioning and final inspection are important.
Adjustable Coverage for Sun, Heat, and Changing Trails
Hot and Sunny Off-Road Routes
Open the windshield for more cabin airflow during hot, high-UV off-road rides, then return it to the closed position when fuller front coverage is needed.
Wind, Rain, and Flying Debris
Close the panel when conditions change to create a more complete front barrier against wind, rain, and loose trail debris.
Bumpy Forest and Recreation Trails
The 5mm polycarbonate and anti-vibration rubber pads support impact resistance and a more stable fit across uneven routes when the mounting points are correctly aligned.
Align the Upper Mounts Before Final Tightening
Position the windshield and anti-vibration rubber pads carefully before securing the mounting points. Customer feedback indicates that the upper mounts may require extra attention to locate and align correctly.
Confirm the exact CFMOTO ZForce model and year before installation.
Position the windshield against the front mounting area.
Place the anti-vibration rubber pads at the intended contact points.
Locate and align the upper mounts before applying final pressure.
Secure all mounting points evenly without forcing the polycarbonate panel.
Test the one-hand handle and confirm smooth open and closed movement.
CFMOTO ZForce Flip-Up Windshield FAQ
Does the windshield really block 100% of UV transmission?
The panel is lab-tested for zero UV transmission under the stated test conditions. That supports strong UV protection, but performance should be considered in relation to the panel's condition, installation, and tested coverage area.
Will the hardened coating remain scratch-free for three years?
No. The dual-layer coating helps resist minor scratches but is not scratch-proof. With proper care it may remain in good condition for approximately one to three years, while abrasive cleaning, branches, sharp objects, storage, and frequent use can shorten its service condition.
How should I clean and maintain the polycarbonate?
Remove loose dust first, then wipe gently with a damp microfiber or non-woven cloth. Briefly soak stubborn stains and dry the surface immediately. Use water, a neutral cleaner, or a specialized polycarbonate cleaner. Do not use alcohol, acetone, gasoline, corrosive chemicals, or abrasive materials.
This UTV flip-up windshield is designed for earlier CFMOTO ZForce platforms that need one-hand airflow control, tested UV blocking, minor scratch resistance, and a cushioned fit for off-road use.
